Chat commands from YouTube and Kick

Creaxor is a platform where a creator’s audience supports them directly. The chat bridge lets a viewer do that from the live chat they are already watching, instead of switching to another tab.

A creator connects their own YouTube channel to their own Creaxor account by signing in with Google and approving a read-only permission. When they go live and press Attach, Creaxor reads the live chat of that broadcast and watches for commands such as !alert 50 lets go. A recognised command triggers an action on Creaxor and nowhere else — it spends the viewer’s own Creaxor balance, which they have to set a spending limit for in advance, to put their message on the creator’s stream.

We read a channel’s live chat only while that creator has a broadcast attached. Detaching, ending the stream, or disconnecting the channel stops the read. We do not watch a channel to find out whether it has gone live — the creator pressing Attach is the only thing that starts it.

What Creaxor does not do

  • We never post to YouTube. Creaxor does not write chat messages, comments, replies, or anything else to YouTube. There is no write call anywhere in this integration.
  • We never modify a creator’s channel. We do not upload, edit, delete, or rate videos; we do not touch playlists, captions, subscriptions, or channel settings.
  • We request read-only access only. The connection asks for one permission and one only — https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly. We do not ask for any permission that would let us write to, or delete from, a creator’s channel.
  • We do not sell YouTube data or use it for ads. The data we read is used to run the command a viewer typed, and for nothing else.

What we keep, and how to get rid of it

  • For a connected creator we store their channel id, so that later reads and inbound chat messages can be matched to the right channel.
  • For a viewer who has linked their YouTube account, we store their channel id and a cached copy of their display name. The display name is a convenience and it does not stay: it is deleted within 30 days of the last time we saw it in chat.
  • A creator can disconnect their channel at any time from their Creaxor account. That revokes our access token with Google and deletes the channel data we hold. A viewer can unlink their account the same way.
  • You can also revoke Creaxor’s access directly at Google security settings.
  • Removing your data from Creaxor doesn't remove anything from YouTube. Data held by YouTube has to be deleted at YouTube, in your Google account.
